Hello, friend! When I was young, I was so addicted to drawing that my brother would exploit me by selling me copy paper for 3 dollars a sheet. Now he is an economist and I am a starving artist. I also wonder how I had the money to buy such expensive drawing paper.

Renegade was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who stopped by my table; you brightened my two days in Chicago with your smiles and sweet comments! This is going to set a pretty high standard for all future craft shows...

It's been a busy summer. I graduated, moved to Cleveland, started work at American Greetings, traveled to LA, Chicago and San Francisco, and painted whenever I could. New stuff is posted at 6307.blogspot.com. But there's more!
Contest news:
American Illustration 26: "Einstein's dreams" has been selected to appear in the annual and on ai-ap.com!
Creative Quarterly 9: "The passers-by" will appear in the next issue of CQ Journal for merit in illustration.
A show:
My work was in Black Maria Gallery's summer show, Rerun, from July 28th to September 2nd. Thanks for having me!

New illustrations are up from books I've been busy working on. I've completed the pages for my freelance children's book, and illustrated and designed an abridged version of Italo Calvino's Marcovaldo for senior thesis. I'll also be graduating and starting as a line designer at American Greetings this summer. My little sheep animation has been moved to the sketches section for now. And last but not least - I'm an American Illustration finalist!

First post! Everything you can see here has been made within the last two years. I'm currently illustrating a vanity children's book and finishing my last year of school at Washington University in St.Louis.
